As a product of Southern
California life, Johnny Michaels, at a young age was already acting: falling
off of rooftops, rolling over hoods of cars, and faking his death, simply
for the entertainment effect it had on his friends. He didn’t know
that later in life, these childhood tricks would direct him toward his
dream, well, that and real life experience; empirical wisdom.
Johnny, continued through
life neglecting the ‘Hollywood dream’ and settled for a constant, reliable
future, first serving in the military, then graduating from both Pepperdine
University and University of La Verne with degrees in business, and finally
entering the world of entrepreneurship. But in the summer of 1998
Johnny lost it. He lost his wife, his house, his children, his business,
and his future, when wrongfully sentenced to a prison term.
Once released Johnny was
reduced to living on the streets while attempting to get his life back
in order. He re-entered the world of entrepreneurship and took odd
jobs which led him to do some background work on a film set. Johnny
got a taste right then and there for acting and went home that night with
a new life plan. He was determined to pursue the dream; he wanted
to own the world, his currency acting, his inspiration: Al Pacino.
Johnny had always been a
rebel, always a self proclaimed bad ass, so, it is no surprise that he
has been cast for various ‘tough guy’ roles in: Alias, CSI: Miami, The
OC, Passions, Nip/Tuck and many other shows. When he was cast for
stunt work in the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, he didn’t hold back
receiving nominations for his work on both Pirates 1 at the World s Stunt
Man Awards, & 3 at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Johnny’s determination and
perseverance has proved to be a successful plan in getting his life to
come full circle. He enjoys benevolently giving back to the community and
frequently visits schools giving motivational speeches, in hopes that he
can inspire children to reach for their dreams. He is getting ready
to break into the next level of his career, with nominations under his
belt, confidence in his acting ability, life experience as his tool box,
and an ambition that drives him daily to progress deeper into his dream.
